A morocco cycling holiday doesn’t usually cross both mountains and ocean in the same trip. This one does: nine days from the High Atlas foothills to the Atlantic surf towns of Taghazout and Essaouira, with an entirely different Morocco waiting at each end.
Few morocco cycling routes let you wake up in a converted fortress one morning and fall asleep to the sound of Atlantic waves a few days later. The route threads through the walled city of Taroudant, the surf breaks of Taghazout, and the whitewashed ramparts of Essaouira, before returning inland to Marrakech.
Your journey begins and ends in Marrakech and takes eight days. If the mountains have you hooked, you can extend your stay in the Atlas for as long as you like.
