Tour Overview

Our Tour start from Marrakech towards the Mountains range of the High Atlas Mountains, Cycling on the Plate Haouz plains, you will be quickly challenged by the impressing Atlas Mountains slopes, climbing Morocco's Highest Roads. We will have the opportunity to discover Berber Lush Valleys and rugged High plateaux to discover the traditional local way of life, an authentic architecture and matches landscapes of a rare beauty.

Day 1: Transfer from airport to your Hotel in Marrakech

welcome by myself at Marrakech airport and short transfer to your hotel in Town. if you have brought your owner bike with you, we will take you to our shop to mount it and keep your box until the end of the trip, our Hotel is not far from the famous place of Jamaa Elfna, this is a first meal in Morocco so we will have this meal together and we will talk about the trip it's just a quick meeting for introduce each other.


Day 2: Marrakech- Orika Valley :

we start cycling from our Hotel in Marrakech through Abdellah Gheyat, A nice stretch across the Haouse Plain on a flat direct line (37km). serious things start on the foothill of the Atlas Mountains, with a challenging climb go 10km to reach the High Plateaux of Iguer. The views are just amazing and the snow capped Mountains contrast with the Green Terraces of Barley and almond Trees. The stone built Berber Villages are superb and naturally melt in the Landscapes. After a last demanding uphill, the Road follows the contours of the Mountain before a big and endless winding downhill section towards the Orika Valley and lodge for the Night.

Day 3: Oirika Valley- Asni

the cycling stage start on the Road following the left banks of the Orika River for about 10 km. The Road then leaves the lush Valley and starts snaking up towards west. On the next 14km, we will climbs steadily along the Mountainside and genteelly again Altitude through some impressive view across the Atlas Mountains and the Berber Villages. As we reach our Highest point at the Tizi N Tdmamt (1820), We will have a more relaxed section following the contours of the Mountains hillside overlooking the superb views stretching towards the Haouz plains far North. After Sidi Farse village here we will find our lunch made by our them, after lunch we will enjoy an amazing downhill section of 10km towards Asni where we will spend the Night, Overnight in a nice Lodge

Day 4: Asni-Kik Plateaux-Marrakech :

our ultimate day will lead us to the Heights of the superb Kid Plateau. After a good breakfast, we start cycling on the little Road snaking up towards the shrine of Molay Brahim. This is Holy Place where a well-know Moroccan sufi saint was buried. It's famous place that attracts a lot of pilgrims from all over Morocco. At the Highest spot of the ride we will cross the magnificent limestone plateaux with the often snow capped Toubkal Peaks in the background. The ride across the terraces will be punctuated by view Villages before we reach the Takerkoust Lake where our cycling adventure end.After packing our Bikes, a short transfer will lead us to the exiting Marrakech and your Hotel in the Medina of Marrakech 15 mn on foot from the main attractions: Jemaa Lana Square, the Souks, Bahia Palace…

Day 5: Marrakech airport :

Depending on your flight schedule, a transfer arranged from your Hotel to airport

What to Take

  • Padded cycling shorts and gloves
  • Breathable top or cycling jersey
  • Sunglasses/eye protection
  • Stiff-soled shoes suitable for cycling
  • Waterproofs and long cycling trousers
  • For the earlier departures you may need some warmer layers
  • Sun cream
  • Water bottle or Camelback Energy cycling gels offer a quick form of carbs replenishment. Most contain the simple carb sugar, which is the fastest form of energy to replace glycogen. It's suggested that people who cycle at a moderate intensity for more than 90 minutes, need to replace between 30g and 65g of carbohydrates per hour and we would thoroughly recommend bringing some of these with you, as well as some energy bars.
